<1> Why is it important that our staff have owned and driven motorcycles, restored show cars and vintage sports cars?
- We treat your ride like it is our own and we pay special care to keeping it in pristine condition.
<2> How are the bikes loaded? (tied down or loaded on pallets)
- Skids and Pallets may provide a secure stability during transport but accidents can occur while loading and unloading. Our enclosed haulers use padded safety straps to secure the bike into a two track loading system avoiding contact with support structures that cause scratching or other damage.
<3> What is your refund policy?
- Generally there are no refunds. Shipping is prepaid with your reservation by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, Bank Check or Money Order. Personal Checks will delay shipping until check clears. In instances where the carrier cancels prior to pickup, your payment will be refunded.
<4> Will my motorcycle be insured?
- Your motorcycle is fully insured for Market Value at no additional cost to you. Proof of insurance is available upon request.
<5> Can you transport my motorcycle to a residence?
- Yes, we can deliver at your house if your house is in a place a commercial trailer can enter safely; if not, we can get as close to your house as safety permits.
<6> Do I have to drain the fluids from my motorcycle?
- NO, no fluids need to be drained or battery removed. When we roll it out you can be ready to ride.
<7> What should I do to get the motorcycle ready for shipping?
- Basically nothing. We would like your bike to have air in the tires and be roll able. If your bike does not roll, or has flat tires. Additional charges may apply.
<8> What do I need to have, to Schedule a Motorcycle shipment?
- You must have all of the pick up and drop off contact information including; Names, Phone numbers, addresses and ect. and you need to know the exact make and model of the motorcycle as well as the V.I.N. number of your motorcycle. If it's a custom bike, chopper or Trike please know the exact dimensions. We also require half deposit to reserve a spot for your motorcycle. * Contact Phone numbers! The more you can give us the better*
If we can't get a hold of anybody for pick up or delivery we will bypass. This could result in more charges, this could also mean you will get your bike weeks later.
" THIS IS IMPORTANT >>> The deposit you send schedules the pick up of your motorcycle. Nothing is scheduled until we receive your deposit. We accept cash, cashier's checks and money orders.
" The balance of the payment is due on delivery and can be paid by either cash, money orders or cashier's check.
<9> What if I have extra parts to ship with my motorcycle?
- We prefer not to take extra parts. If you do wish to ship other parts with your motorcycle there will be additional fees for caring for them.
<1> How far in advance should I schedule the transport of my vehicle?
We request that you schedule your move as soon as possible to insure that your car is moved within the time frame which best meets your schedule. However, if an immediate pick up is necessary, we can arrange for your vehicle to be picked up within 24 hours.
<2> Will you pick up and deliver my vehicle door-to-door?
We do offer door-to-door auto transport service however, there are instances that we cannot deliver directly to your door due to the size of our auto carriers. The size of your street may prohibit direct delivery to your door. Also, some towns and cities do not allow trucks on their streets. If we cannot get to your door, we will deliver your vehicle to the next most convenient, accessible location such as the nearest major crossing street, a shopping mall or supermarket.
<3> How long will it take to pickup and deliver my vehicle?
Coast-to-coast trips usually take between 10 and 14 days. Shorter trips range from 3 to 10 days, depending on the actual distance. Some factors may delay a trip, including traffic, weather, and truck breakdowns.
<4> What is an oversize fee?
Some vehicles are much larger than traditional passenger vehicles. Most full size SUVs fit in to this category. Because of the extraordinary dimensions, these vehicles take up the amount of space normally used for two vehicles, thus resulting in the need for an “oversize” fee.
<5> Is my car insured?
Your car is insured for the Blue Book value the entire time it is on the truck. Clearly listed on your Shipping Order and Bill of Lading are occurrences not covered. At the time of pick-up, a condition report is filled out and signed by both the person turning the car over and the truck driver and you are given a copy. Upon delivery of your vehicle, this same report is presented. You should compare the condition of the vehicle to the report thoroughly at that time. If you feel damage has occurred to your vehicle during delivery, you must note it on the report before you sign it and the driver leaves. Any claims made after the report has been signed will not be honored.
<6> Do I have to be present when we pick up or deliver your vehicle?
Yes, we request you, or a designated person, be present upon pick up of your vehicle. An inspection is performed and a contract bill of lading must be signed.
<7> How do I prepare my vehicle?
Please have a no more than 1/4 tank of fuel, remove all personal items from your vehicle. If it is a convertible, T-top, sunroof, etc. make sure all openings are closed and prepared for changing weather.
<8> What if my vehicle does not run?
We will add additional charges to cover an inoperable vehicle in our quote if you inform us up front of the vehicle's condition. We will add $200 plus loading and unloading charges to your quote if we are not informed of the vehicle's true condition.
